Puppies go home to their new families

Last weekend March 7th, 7 puppies went to their new homes. What a busy weekend THAT was. 6 different people coming to pick up pups. One family with 4 busy children, a family that had suffered much loss last year, two new familes just starting out, a service dog org, a young professional couple. All who had Labs in the past, present or had just lost a Lab. This last weekend, little orange collar girl went home with a couple who had just lost the love of their lives, their black Lab.

It gives me such joy to see them with their puppies! I take pictures of them on pick up day and it cheers me to see all the smiling faces! Waves and hugs and thank you's to Sophie and me for giving them their new precious gift. Even some tears. New friends with promises to send pictures as they grow.

It's been a heck of a lot of work to be sure, but worth it, a labor of love. Two little girls left to find their families, hopefully this week.

I might just have to keep little Zuzu for me. Hard to let go.
