Pups first week

Puppies were born on Monday the 4th and all are doing fine! It's been a long first five days! I've been sleeping next to the pups. The first 2 nights I rotated five pups on teat then the next five, for every two hours non-stop. The third night I let them all in the pen together and let Sophie sort it out. I was still up every hour to two hours, but my involvement was less, and last night I got about 4 hours straight! Pups are getting fat and seem happy. Sophie is a lot more comfortable now that her teats aren't so enlarged. It's been a week of nursing and laundry to be sure!

I think she's got it handled now!
